CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO. 2008-67
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE SUBMITTAL OF THE
2010-2030 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN TO THE
METROPOLITAN COUNCIL FOR OFFICIAL REVIEW
WHEREAS, the City of Medina approved the draft comprehensive plan document with
specified and additional modifications, and directed city staff to distribute to the surrounding
jurisdictions and Metropolitan Council for review and comments on February 6, 2008; and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council submitted an informal review of the draft plan to
the city on June 17, 2008; and
WHEREAS, the surrounding jurisdiction review was completed on August 20, 2008;
and
WHEREAS, the city council of the City of Medina reviewed the comments from the
surrounding jurisdictions, suggested revisions and modifications to the 2010-2030
Comprehensive Plan on September 16, 2008; and
WHEREAS, the plan must now be submitted back to the Metropolitan Council for
official review.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the city council of the City of Medina,
Minnesota authorizes city staff to submit the updated draft 2010-2030 Comprehensive Plan for
the City of Medina to the Metropolitan Council to begin the official review of said plan.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Weir and
upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Smith, Weir, Johnson, Cavanaugh, Crosby
and the following voted against same:
None
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
