RESOLUTION NO.2008-77
A RESOLUTION APPROVING CANVASS OF RETURNS AND DECLARING THE
RESULTS OF THE MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON NOVEMBER 4, 2008
WHEREAS, a Municipal Election was held at the General Election on Tuesday,
November 4, 2008, to vote on the offices of Mayor and two 4-year Council Members and the
official returns of the election judges were presented; and
WHEREAS, said returns were duly examined, approved, and placed on file in the Office
of the City Clerk; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina
that it is hereby found, determined, and declared that the Regular Municipal Election held in and
for the City of Medina on Tuesday, November 4, 2008 was in all respects duly held and the
returns thereof have been duly canvassed, the votes cast at said election were:
MAYOR, Two-year term, expiring December 31, 2010
Tom Crosby, Jr. Received 1,526 Votes
Bruce Workman Received 1,266 Votes
Write -Ins Received 12 Votes
Undervotes Received 330 Votes
Overvotes Received 2 Votes
Total 3,136 Votes
COUNCIL MEMBER, Four-year term, Two Seats, terms expiring December 31, 2012
Mike Siitari Received 1,403 Votes
Elizabeth (Liz) Weir Received 1,813 Votes
Chris Paul Received 784 Votes
Write -Ins Received 32 Votes
Undervotes Received 2,238 Votes
Overvotes Received 2 Votes
Total 6,272 Votes

IT IS HEREBY FOUND AND DECLARED that the following candidates for office of Mayor
and Council Member elected at the November 4, 2008 Regular Municipal Election for the

COUNCIL MEMBER (4 year term) .Elizabeth (Liz) Weir
COUNCIL MEMBER (4 year term) Mike Siitari

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Smith
and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:

Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
