An Ordinance Relating to Health and
prescribing Penalties for Violation
Be it ordained by the Town Council
of the Toxin of Wellsburg, Iowa;—
That—
SECTIO1N I. It shall be unlawful
for any peddler, agent or solicitor of
any kind or nature to go from house
to house or from place to place, with-
out first securing from the Health of-
ficer or from a Resident Physician, af-
ter a careful examination by the
Health officer or resident physician,
a Certificate stating that the person
is in proper health and without any
evidence of any contagious disease.
This Ordinance shall not apply to
commercial travelers selling goods at
wholesale to merchants. II
SEC. 2• The Health officer or resident Physician shall charge the
sum of Five Dollars for such exami-
nation, which said amount shall be
paid for by the person securing this
Certificate.
SEC. 3. A duplicate of this Cer-
tificate shall be filed in the Office of
the Mayor duly attested by the Clerk
Of the Board of Health.
SEC. 4. This permit or Certifi-
cate shall not be transferrable anu

SEC. 5. Any one violating any

upon conviction, be subject to
imprisonment for not to exceed Thirty
days, or to a fine not exceeding O`ne
Hundred Dollars. Whenever the fine
costs imposed for the Niolation of
this Ordinance are not paid, the per-
son convicted may be committed to
jail until the costs and fine are paid,
not to exceed Thirty days.

are hereby repealed.
SEC. 7, This Ordinance shall be
in force and effect from and after its
passage and publication as provided
Y law.
