(Hickey property) I spoke with Mr. Downer Davis about the site this morning. His main concern was the disruption of the soil and vegetation along the street as equipment ran back and forth over it. He stated if the machinery was rubber tired and the machinery did not disrupt the strip of land along the street, he did not have a issue with our work. We will be using rubber tired machinery and it will not be driving back and forth over that strip of land along the street. If you have any questions,please do not hesitate to contact me. I agree that, once the low shrubs and vegetation are removed, leveling is required to allow for routine normal mowing. I agree with your office that: 1) A full erosion plan as required by the SEC ordinance is not required. 2) The limited erosion plan would be required through other sections of Tybee's Code. Basically, this plan would specify: A) Silt fencing around the site. B) Stabilization according to the Manual. C) A limited construction entrance should be required as the frontage has a rather steep slope and a bare drive will erode into the street. The portion of 13th St. along this lot drains toward Butler Ave. 3) The Owner or his representative give notice to allow inspection of the initial BMP's prior to his commencing the proposed grading. Otherwise, failed BMP's could lead to a violation of State E&S regulations. The submittal of an erosion control plan is not a monumental task. One of this detail could even be a marked up Sagis map, hand drawn sketch etc... Just something for 1 everyone's record on what is expected to avoid surprises later. Such an exhibit wouldn't take over 15 or 20 min. to prepare. Please advise of additional effort you require from me on this task. All trees with a 6" diameter at 4.5 feet above ground count toward the density count. • Significant trees may be removed only under certain circumstances and must be replaced inch-for-inch in like species with minimum 2-inch diameter trees or be otherwise mitigated. (See reverse side for defmition.) • By accepting the Tree Removal Permit, the property owner and the applicant agree to comply with all requirements of the Tree Ordinance including mitigation requirements,planting specifications and tree survival requirements.
