IGlehart it T4 Clerk Wm.J. Bauer Town of Gulf Stream, The minutes of the meeting held on June 11th.. were read, and upon motion, unanimously ratified and approved. Town Clerk Bauer reported balances (Bank) as of September 30th,1955 as follows: General Account Water Account Depreeiation Agoount 3,$35.18 5,516.69 2,46.55 The minutes of meetings held on July 9th, August 13th,September 10th and sitting as Board of Lqualizmrz from July 1st - ,8t4,1955 were read and upon motion, unanimously ratified and approved. Payments of General Accounts by check numbers {1950 to J2048 inclusive were unanimously approved. with Town Clerk Bauer discussedTthe Commissioners the need to purchase a cooling & heating electric unit for the Town Hall. Complete cost of i.nstallationj for a 3/4 unit was as follows: MacEachron Refrigeration Service (International Harvester) 310.00 Joe Sante,Inc (Mitchell) 296.00 The Commissioners voted to table discussion on the above purchase until a meeting in the spring. Upon second reading it was voted and approved that the following OkDIl1%M,h OF THE TCWN OF' GULF STREAM, FLORIDA, REL'.TING TO FEDERAL OLD AGE AND SURVIVORS INSURANCE be adopted. "An ordinance declaring the policy and purpose of the Town of Gulf Stream, Florida, to extend to the employees and officials of said Town of Gulf Stream, Florida, not excluded by law, nor herein - afyer excepted, the ben (Pfits of the system of Federal Old Age and Survivors Insurance, as authorized by the Federal Social Security Act, and ameddments thereto) upon the basis of applicable State and Federal Laws or regulations; authorizing and directing the layer to execute agreements and amendments thereto with the State Agency authorized to enter into such agreements, for coverage of said employees and officials; providing for withholdings from salaries and wages of employees and officials of said Town so covered to be made and paid over as provided by applicable State or Federal Laws or requlations; providing thgt said Town shall appropriate and pay over employers contributions and assessments as provided by applicable State of Federal laws or regulations; providing that said Tovm shall keep records and make reports as required by applicable State or Federal laws or regulations#)) One Bid in writing was presented from Hardrives of Delray Beach to patch holes, seal with semi -solid asphalt and cover with 1/2" Birmingham Slag and roll om Oleander Road from Bany:.n Road to Lake View drive at a cost of $275.00. The only other bid was verbal from Jack E. Carver. Victor Till, T.M.Girdler, S.B.Iglehart and 0 Mrs. H.B.Mc Donald. Z _ Q U) to also submitted a price of $12.00 per hour forequipment to push to- gether pine needles lying on AlA and loading on our Truck. They did not believe the job would take over 5 hours. The Commissioners vojyed in favor of Having Hardrives do the above mentioned work but decided to wait until about November 10th. The Commissioners approved the mailing of a notice to property owners whose undeveloped lots had grown considerable in the past summer, asking for their voluntary co- operation in this clean up. Copy of said form letter is hereby attached. Aletter from Mr. Harold Roig dated October 3rd,1955 urging the acceptance of his resignation which had been on file for some months was read and the Mayor was instructed to write Nir. Roig accepting his resignation effective December 1st to alloy sufficient time to fill the vacancy. The Mayor read a letter from Mr. Chi Byrd tendering his resig- nation as Town Attorney. The Mayor was instructed to write Mr. �( Byrd thanking him for the good work done for the Town for the past many years and to take up with the proper successor. a C 0 (L W IJ.n Q Z F_ Vl Henry V. Pope submitted a plat for the South Polf Drive having inserted two easements as requested to drain off Polo Drive and same w„s approved. There being no futher business the Commissioners adjourned.
