PROCEDURE TO ADDRESS CITY COUNCIL: If you wish to address the City Council,

A. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The City Council is requested to review and approve:
1. Minutes of Special City Council Meeting of August 15, 2017;
2. Minutes of Regular City Council Meeting of August 15, 2017; and
3. Minutes of Special City Council Meeting of August 30, 2017.
Recommendation: Approve.
B. TRANSPORTATION AND PUBLIC SAFETY COMMISSION ACTIONS
The City Council is requested to receive and file:
1. Actions of the Regular Transportation and Public Safety Commission
Meeting of June 14, 2017;
2. Actions of the Regular Transportation and Public Safety Commission
Meeting of July 12, 2017; and
3. Actions of the Regular Transportation and Public Safety Commission
Meeting of August 9, 2017.
Recommendation: Receive and file.
C. PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION ACTIONS
The City Council is requested to receive and file Actions of the Regular Parks
and Recreation Commission Meeting of August 16, 2017.
Recommendation: Receive and file.
D. FIRST AMENDMENT TO PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT #17-016
WITH GONZALEZ GOODALE ARCHITECTS
The requested contractual amendment will allow Gonzalez Goodale Architects
to provide services on an on-call basis.
Recommendation:
1. Approve a $25,000 contractual first amendment with Gonzalez Goodale
Architects for additional on-call architectural and urban design services; and
2. Designate said amount from General Fund Reserve (unassigned fund
balance) to Fund 01-910-42-4231: Professional Services.

E. ACCEPTANCE OF FISCAL YEAR 2016-17 PAVEMENT REHABILITATION
PROJECT (CIP NO. P13-02)
In September 2016, City Council awarded a contract to Pavement Coating Co.
for the resurfacing of 2.35 million square feet of street pavement. Work started
in November 2016 and was completed on schedule.
Recommendation: Accept the Fiscal Year 2016-17 Pavement
Rehabilitation Project (CIP No. P13-02) as
completed by Pavement Coatings Co.
F. PETTY CASH REPORTS
The City Council is requested to receive and file the Petty Cash Reports.
Recommendation: Receive and file.
G. ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO. 17-5284 APPROVING PAYMENT OF
BILLS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2016-17
The City Council is requested to adopt Resolution No. 17-5284 authorizing the
payment of bills.
Recommendation: Adopt Resolution No. 17-5284.
H. ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO. 17-5285 APPROVING PAYMENT OF
BILLS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2017-18
The City Council is requested to adopt Resolution No. 17-5285 authorizing the
payment of bills.
Recommendation: Adopt Resolution No. 17-5285.

A. CURB ADDRESS PAINTING PROGRAM
The City Council directed staff to issue a Request for Qualifications to nonprofit
organizations interested in painting curb address numbers a s fundraiser or
community service. Two responses were received from Canning Hunger and
Care for the Children.

B. PUBLIC PARKING LOT AT 5800 TEMPLE CITY BOULEVARD
Staff is presenting for Council’s review and direction on decorative element,
parking wayfinding signs and parking study with interim use for the new parking
lot.
Presentation: City Manager
Recommendation:
1. Provide input and direction on a proposed decorative element and parking
wayfinding signs;
2. Consider directing staff to solicit proposals for an update to the City’s
downtown parking strategy with the short-term interim parking use of 5800
Temple City Blvd lot as all-day parking with regular Citywide overnight
restrictions, along with conducting targeted outreach to businesses near and
around the parking lot informing about availability of lot for employees and
patrons.
