SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
September 27, 2017
1. CALL TO ORDER
AGENDA
ITEM 7.A-3.
Mayor Cynthia Sternquist called the Special Meeting to order at 7:05 a.m. in the
City Hall Community Room located at 9701 Las Tunas Drive, Temple City.

3. PUBLIC COMMENTS
Councilmember —Chavez, Fish, Sternquist
Councilmember — Man, Yu
City Manager Cook, Community Development Director
Forbes, and Senior Community Preservation Officer Tran
Captain Flores, Deputy Adams, Deputy Lam, and Deputy
Zuniga
Councilmember Fish made a motion to excuse Mayor Pro
Tem Man and Councilmember Yu for cause. Councilmember
Chavez seconded the motion.
Jerry Jambazian, Temple City Resident, asked questions regarding the City vehicle
following the Street Sweeper.

5. NEW BUSINESS
A. OVERVIEW OF LASD COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS BUREAU —HOMELESS
OUTREACH SERVICE TEAM (HOST)
Lieutenant Geofrey Deedrick, Deputy Rodney Gutierrez, and Deputy Andre
Kneubuhler were unavailable to give the presentation.
6. COMMUNICATIONS
A. QUALITY OF LIFE
Deputy Lam provided a brief overview of the number of sex offender
registrants, parolees, and probationers in the City.
B. OPERATIONS
Deputy Lam provided an update regarding arrests and operations in the City.

Deputy Lam provided an overview of crime trends in neighboring cities
affecting Temple City.
D. NOTABLE ARRESTS
Deputy Lam provided an overview of notable arrests made in the City.

Deputy Lam provided an overview of traffic issues in the City.
F. CRIME AND TRAFFIC STATISTICS
Deputy Lam provided an overview of the crime and traffic statistics.
G. SPECIAL ASSIGNMENT TEAM ACTIVITIES
Deputy Lam provided an update on the special assignment team activities.
H. PUBLIC OUTREACH / EVENTS
Deputy Lam reported on the public outreach conducted by the special
assignment team.
I. UPCOMING EVENTS FOR OCTOBER 2017
Deputy Lam announced upcoming meetings and events that will be
conducted in the City.

The Special Meeting was adjourned at 7:45 a.m.
