The General Plan, last updated in 1987, provides direction on the physical aspects of land use, mobility, economic development, community services, natural resources, and hazards. The Specific Plan is an essential tool to implement the vision and goals established in the General Plan, in that it focuses new growth away from established residential neighborhoods and toward the crossroads of two major streets (Rosemead Boulevard and Las Tunas Drive).
