Community Preservation Issues with UCBs
Placed in the public right of way
Placed on private property without permission

Planning Commission Review
On October 10, 2017 the Planning Commission recommended
approval of the Ordinance 17 -1026 without any changes.

Recommendation

1.Introduce for first reading by title only and waive further
reading of Ordinance No. 17 -1026 (Attachment “A”),
amending Titles 4 and 9 of the Temple City Municipal Code
(TCMC) to adopt regulations for unattended collection boxes
(UCBs) and other recycling and collection facilities;
2.Waive further reading of Ordinance No. 17 -1026;
3.Schedule the second reading of Ordinance No. 17 -1026 for
December 5, 2016; and
4.Adopt Resolution No. 17 -5295 (Attachment “B”) amending
the Master Fee and Fine Schedule for Fiscal Year (FY) 2017 -
2018, to establish a new fee for UCB permits.
