CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO.2009-60
RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING AND HONORING FORMER MAYOR WAYNE
E. NEDDERMEYER FOR DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE CITY OF MEDINA
WHEREAS, Wayne E. Neddermeyer died September 18, 2009 after providing
years of residency and public service to the Medina community as Mayor from 1966-
1978; including
• Mayor of the Village of Medina
• Mayor during the transition from a Village to a City in
1974
• First Mayor of the City of Medina; and
• Leadership during the Construction of the existing City
Hall in 1974
WHEREAS, Wayne E. Neddermeyer will be remembered as a City leader who
moved the City from performing traditional local government management practices to
more modern and professional local government management practices; and
WHEREAS, the lengthy service of Wayne E. Neddermeyer as Mayor
demonstrated his commitment and passion for improving the quality of life for Medina
residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Medina
recognize and memorialize the leadership of Wayne E. Neddermeyer in the City of
Medina and his efforts to lay the foundation for many of the fine professional services
which exist in the City today.

Weir upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
