HomeMy Public PortalAbout008-1998 - Grant - Partnership for a Drug Free Wayne CountyORDINANCE NO. 8-1998 AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL, ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE PARTNERSHIP FOR A DRUG FREE WAYNE COUNTY WHEREAS, the Partnership for a Drug Free Wayne County has grant funding available to assist in various drug related law enforcement activities; and WHEREAS, the Richmond Police Department desires to submit a grant application in order to purchase five portable radios. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows: 1. The Richmond Police Department is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the Partnership for a Drug Free Wayne County for the purchase of five portable radios. 2. The Richmond Police Department is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Four Thousand Five Hundred Eighty-five Dollars ($4,585.00). 3. Said funds, if awarded to the Richmond Police Department, shall be appropriated for the purchase of portable radios.
