the Town of Gulf Stream, Florida held on Saturday, September 8, 1956.

The minutes of the meetingsheld on June 9, 1956, July 14, 1956 and
August 11, 1956 were read, adopted and approved.
Town Clerk, J. Raleigh Fountain, reported bank balances as follows;
as of August 31, 1950:
General Fund 8,595.59
Water Fund 6,177.39
Depreciation Fund 23486.55
Payments from the General Fund from June 1, 1956 through August 31,
1956 were checks 2289 through 2401. Payments from the Water Fund
were on checks numbered 68 through 78. All of the above payments
were unanimously approved. '
Town Clerk, J. R. Fountain, reported that he had received two (2)
bids from car rental agencies in Delray Beach. The automobile pro-
posed and favored is 1957 - 210 Delray Coupe Chevrolet, V -8 engine,
power pack, power glide transmission, electric windshield wipers,
undercoat. We also require (1) insurance, $50,000 /100,000, 5,000
property damage, $100 deductible collision, (2) lubrication and oil
change every 2,000 miles and (3) general maintenance which would in-
clude such items as tires, batteries, spark plugs, etc. Pitts' bid
was $79.87 per month; Sandersonts bid was $125.00 per month.
Pitts Car Rentals, Inc., submitted the lowest bid which is as listed
above, namely $79.87 per month.
Commiss -ioner Pope requested that Raleigh Fountain instruct F. Glass
to commence dumping trash of vegetable nature in the old royal palm
nursery area. This, Raleigh Fountain agreed to do.
Mr. Henry Pope made a motion that the Town purchase a 065.00 address -
ograph and the necessary equipment. Mr. Koch seconded. The motion
carried unanimously.
It was moved, seconded and passed that the Mayor or Vice -Mayor ap-
point three commissioners to serve as a Town Zoning Committee. It
was further moved, seconded and approved unanimously that the Zoning
Committee meet with the Civic Association for the purpose of making
recommendations for changes and additions to the Town's Zoning and
Building Ordinances.
Raleigh Fountain was authorized to contact the Town attorneys and
enlist their assistance and make arrangements for a satisfactory
meeting date for all concerned.
It was moved, seconded and passed that Raleigh. Fountain have the 't'own's
r: en "ineers, Brockway & Brockway, draw a new 'Town map which would list
the new lot and resident numbers, the water mains, fire hydrants, Town's
easements and other pertinent data.
There being no further business the Commissioners adjourned.
