MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING
Held: Saturday, Nov. 10, 1956

The minutes of the commission meeting held on October 13, 1956
were read, adopted and approved.
Town Clerk, J. R. Fountain, reported bank balances as of Oct-31s
1956 as follows:
General Fund 6 6,653.22
Water Fund 7,466.97
Depreciation Fund 2,486.55
Payments from the General Fund during Oct. 1956 were on checks
#2429 through #2442, inclusive and totaled $1,420.23. There were
no payments from the Water or Depreciation Funds. All of the
above payments were unanimously approved.
At the meeting, Vice -Mayor Norris J. Clarke stated that inasmuch
as he would not be eligible to run for re- election next March 5,
1956, he felt he should tender his resignation as Commissioner
before the activities of the winter season begin.
All the Commissioners expressed their regret that Mr. Clarke
could no longer be elected a Commissioner, a post which he has
served diligently and faithfully for several years.
The Com1ssioners voted unanimously to have Mayor Lindsay call a
special meeting of the Commission on December 1, 1956 fort he
purpose of appointing a new Commissioner to fill the vacancy
created by Vice -Mayor Commissioner Clarke's resignation.
The Mayor instructed the Town Clerk to send out notices to the
Commissioners on November 27th calling their attention tot he
Special Meeting to be held December 1, 1956.
The Commissioners voted unanimously to employ a laborer to assist
Ernest Glass, beginning Monday, November12, 1955.
Commissioner Iglehart requested the Town Clerk to inquire from
the cities of Delray Beach, Boynton Beach and Boca Raton and
find out the Occupational License fees charged by these municip-
alities.
The Town Clerk was instructed to contact Brockway, Weber & Brockway
and Howard Cromer and get each to give us a survey of the present

water main lay -outs in the town with a view to making recommenda-
tions for improving the water pressure and improving the pipe in
some areas.
The Commissioners voted unanimously to have the Town Clerk con-
tact Hardrives and have them sweep up t he pine needles from Route
AIA prior to December 1st, if possible.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
