AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE RICHMOND POLICE DEPARTMENT TO ACCEPT AND APPROPRIATE GRANT FUNDS FROM THE GOVERNOR’S COUNCIL ON IMPAIRED AND DANGEROUS DRIVING
WHEREAS, the Richmond Police Department has applied for grant funds in the total amount of Six Thousand Nine Hundred Twelve Dollars ($6,912.00) from the Governor’s Council on Impaired
and Dangerous Driving; and
WHEREAS, said grant funds have been awarded for the purchase of two (2) moving radar units and the payment of DUI enforcement overtime.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana as follows:
1) The Richmond Police Department is authorized to accept the aforementioned grant in the amount of Six Thousand Nine Hundred Twelve Dollars ($6,912.00) from the Governor’s Council
on Impaired and Dangerous Driving.
2) Said grant funds will be used to purchase two (2) moving radar units and the payment of DUI enforcement overtime.
Passed and adopted this 3rd day of August, 1998, by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
