HomeMy Public PortalAbout083-1998 - Transfers Polygraph Chair to the Wayne County Sheriff's DepartmentORDINANCE NO. 83-1998 A SPECIAL ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF A POLYGRAPH CHAIR TO THE WAYNE COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT WHEREAS, the Indiana State Police conduct polygraph examinations at the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department; and WHEREAS, the Indiana State Police are in need of a polygraph chair for use during said examinations; and WHEREAS, the City of Richmond, Indiana currently owns such a polygraph chair, which was previously used by the Richmond Police Department and is no longer in use; and WHEREAS, it is thus desirable to transfer said polygraph chair to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department for use by the Indiana State Police. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that the Chief of Police is hereby authorized to transfer the polygraph chair formerly used by the Richmond Police Department to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department for use by the Indiana State Police during polygraph examinations.
