Beach County, Florida.
The meeting of the Town Commissioners of the Town of Gulf Stream,
Florida was held at the Town Hall on Monday, March 10th,1952 at
10 a.m.
Present: Mayor Commissioner L. Seton Lindsay
Vice Mayor " N. J. Clarke
Town Clerk Wm.J. Bauer
Commissioner S. B. Iglehart

The reading of the minutes of the last meeting held on February
llth,1952 at 10 a.m. was dispensed with, as each Commissioner
had been furnished a typewritten copy of said minutes. Upon
motion duly made, seconded and unanimously voted, the minutes were
approved and ordered filed.
The Commissioners approved the payment of the attached list of bills
paid by check numbers #9$0 to #1000 inclusive.
The Bank Balance was reported as $6075.84
It was reported to the meeting that 2,412,000 gallons of water
had been furnished to the Town of Gulf Stream by the Gulf Stream
Golf Club Luring the month of February 1952 for whci the Town is
to pay the Gulf Stream Golf Club $289.44. The resale of water
to individuals amounted to 0593.80.
PROPOSED NEW ZONING ORDINANCE
,FA proposed preliminary copy of a new Zoning Ordinance for the Town
of Gulf Stream, Palm Beach County, Florida,together with copy of
supporting map was presented to the meeting. The Commissioners
after careful reading and discussion suggested several changes
which upon motion duly made and seconded, were approved. The Comm-
issioners then voted that a copy of the above Zoning Ordinance and
be mailed to each property owner in Town. The Town Clerk was in-
structed to mail that afternoon or the next day, such copies and
maps together with two printed notices (as attahhed hereto) showing
form of notice to be publicized in Delray Beach News, Delray Beach,
Florida and a copy of letter inviting all property owners to meet
informally with the Town Commissioners on Monday March 17th,1952 at
10 a.m. to discuss pro and con the above proposed Zoning Ordinance.
was upon motion duly made and seconded, decided that notice be pub-
lished on March 13th, 20th, 27th and April 3rd and that notices be
posted on the Door of the Town Hall, the door of the Gulf Stream
Golf Club and on the door of the Webb Bros Real Estate Office. On
notice to the property owners, each one is to be notified as to

what classification his property would be in, under the new proposed
Zoning.
The Commissioners, upon motion duly made, seconded and unanimously
carried, voted that the new Proposed Zoning Ordinance, upon dis-
cussion, cofrection and /or approval by the Town Commissioners of any
constructive ideas suggested by the Property Owners at the informal
meeting to be held with the Town Commissioners on March 17th,1952
be placed before the Town Commissioners for its first reading on
April 14th,1952.

of proposed new Zoning of the Town of Gulf Stream.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to all
property owners of the Town of Gulf
Stream in the County of Palm Beach
and State of Florida, that the Town
Commission has caused to be prepared
a now end complete Zoning Ordinance
whereby all of the lands within the
Town are to be .pned Into three districts.

Residence District "A"
Residence and Apartment District "C"
Business District
A copy of amid Zoning Ordinance, to.
setter with Town Zoning Map locating
and describing the boundaries of each
District, Is on file with the Town Clerk
at the Town Hall In Gulf Stream. Florida.
for the examination and Inspection of all
property owners.
The Town Commission will held Its
regular monthly meeting at the Town Hall
in Gulf Stream, Florida, at ten o'clock
A. M. on April 19. 1052 for the purpose
of hearing all complaints, If any, which
may be registered by property owner. of

Ordinance and Zoning M.P. After con-
sideration of all complaints and com-
ments the Town Commission will then
Introduce and pass on first reading said
Zoning Ordinance, together with Its ac-
companying Zoning Map. and for final
adoption at Its next regular meeting to
be held In May 1062.

The Town Clerk is mailing you a copy of notice of the first reading
on April 14th, 1952, of a proposed new Zoning Ordinance for the Town of
Gulf Stream. At that time, after full hearing and consideration by all
Interested parties, it will be decided whether or not to proceed with new
Zoning under this plan or under any other plan.
The undersigned, members of the Town Council named in the
Enabling Act of 1951 who are serving as such without compensation,
favor the adoption of a new overall zoning plan for the protection of prop-
erty owners today and in the years to come. To bring the matter before
you, with the aid of legal counsel, we have prepared for submission a
draft plan, copy of which with related map is enclosed. We hope you
will look it over carefully. After you have studied it, we want your sug-
gestions and we want to answer questions to the best of our ability.
Several property owners and voters are going to meet informally
with us at the Town Hall on Monday, March 17th, 1952 at 10 a.m. to
discuss the draft and the wisdom —or lack of wisdom —of going forward.

Meeting of Town Commissioners of the Town of Gulf Stream, Palm
Beach County, Florida, held on March 10th,1952.

The Commissioners approved the payment of extra pay to Wm.J.Bauer,
Town Clerk for overtime in connection with work necessitated by the
new Proposed Zoning Ordinance, etc.
After discussion and comparison of wages paid Police Officers by
neighboring Towns and Cities, it was voted and unanimously approved
to raise the pay of Officer Chief E.W.Cooper from $250.00 per month
to $270.00 as of March 16th,1952.
Following discussion, Town Clerk Wm.J.Bauer was instructed to
procure costs on Watchmen Clock and Two Stations for use in Town.
It was suggested that a form of notice or card be prepared, to be
mailed to each tax payer on the first of November 1952 along with
the 1952 tax statement, listing phone numbers whereby residents
could contact police Officers and Fire Department.
A letter was read signed by Mr. W.C.Johnston, property owner,
accompanied by form of petition signed by Mr. Johnston and Mrs.
Anne Fontaine Maury Adams, requesting the Town Commissioners to
abandon all of road or street n4med Palm Way and portion of
Pandanus Road running from North limits of Palm Way westerly to
the north limits of Oleander Way. Inasmuch as the above two men -
tioned property owners are the only ones whose property abut on
aforesaid suggested abandoned roads, the Commissioners upon vote
duly made, seconded and unanimously carried, agreed to such aband-

There being no further business to come before the meeting it
adjourned.
