HomeMy Public PortalAbout2023-72 Resolution to Publish Petrashov Rezoning - Title and SummaryResolution No. 2023-72 June 20, 2023 Member DesLauriers introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO. 2023-72 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PUBLICATION OF ORDINANCE NO. 710 BY TITLE AND SUMMARY WHEREAS, the city council of the City of Medina has adopted Ordinance No. 710, an ordinance amending the official zoning map to rezone 2382 State Highway 55; and WHEREAS, Minnesota Statues § 412.191, subdivision 4 allows publications by title and summary in the case of lengthy ordinances or those containing charts or maps; and WHEREAS, the ordinance is three pages in length and contains a map; and WHEREAS, the city council believes that the following summary would clearly inform the public of the intent and effect of the ordinance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the City of Medina that the city clerk shall cause the following summary of Ordinance No. 710 to be published in the official newspaper in lieu of the ordinance in its entirety: Public Notice The city council of the City of Medina has adopted Ordinance No. 710, amending the official zoning map to rezone 2382 State Highway 55. The ordinance rezones property to the Business (B) zoning district. The full text of the ordinance is available from the city clerk at Medina city hall during regular business hours. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the city council of the City of Medina that the city clerk keep a copy of the ordinance in her office at city hall for public inspection and that she post a full copy of the ordinance in a public place within the city.
