MOHLER, a qualified elector of the City of Moab, at regular municipal election held in said City on November 3, 1953, was elected to the office of City Councilman of said City for a term of four years, and WHEREAS, Ate. Mahler, having filled the office of Moab City Councilman to date with honor and distinction, now finds it necessary because of the pressure of personal affairs and obligations to resign from office, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF MOAB CITY, UTAH, that the resignation of ROBERT E. MOHLER from the office of City Councilman of Moab City, Utah, be and the same hereby is accepted, effective as of the 1st. day of April, 1957. That the appreciation of his fellow council members, the mayor and officers and employees of the said City, together with the appreciation of the community, be and the same hereby is extended to Mr. Mohler for attributes of community leadership demonstrated by him during his tenure of office, attributes embracing such qualities as conscientious striving after the public weal, vision to assess the present and furture needs of the community, courage and fortitude to stand up and be measured among men for his convictions, and loyalty to any cause once espoused and to those working Within and for such cause.
