MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF ASSESSORS,
Date : April 19 , 2018 — Regular Session BRRI TER T014) rLERK
Time : 5 : 3 0pm
Location : 2198 Main Street, Brewster, MA 02631
Present : Belinda Eyestone, Chair; members G . Howard Hayes, Diane Salomone ; Deputy
Assessor James Gallagher
Call to Order : Ms . Eyestone called the meeting to order at 5 : 35pm .
Local Option Tax Exemption Warrant Articles : Mr . Gallagher reviewed the local option tax
exemptions with the Board of Assessors . Chairperson Eyestone agreed to make the motions for
the articles at Town Meeting ,
The Board discussed the interest rate for Clause 4 1 A tax deferrals . The Board does not
recommend any adjustments to the tax deferral interest rate at this time .
Assessors ' Map Updates : A review of map updates from 2011 -2017 has been completed . The
Fiscal 2018 map updates are ready . Fiscal 2019 updates will begin soon.
Report of the Deputy Assessor : Mr . Gallagher reported that a temporary part-time assistant has .
been added to staff. Review of 3ABCs is in progress for FY2019 . FY2019 Forms of List have
been provided to PK Valuations for review.
Review and approve Regular Session Minutes : January 9 , 2018 Regular Session was
previously reviewed and approved at a prior meeting . Ms . Eyestone moved to approve January
17 , 2018 and February 12, 2018 Regular Session Minutes , Ms . Salomone seconded motion.
Approved unanimously .
Topics the Chair did not reasonably anticipate : None
Executive Session (To comply with or act under the authority of, any general or special law or
federal grant-in- aid requirements : MGL Chap . 59 Sec . 60 and MGL Chap , 214 Sec . 1B )
At 5 : 57pm Mr. Hayes made motion to go into Executive Session for the reason noted above, not
to return to regular session . Ms . Eyestone seconds the motion. Roll call vote : Eyestone — Aye ;
Hayes — Aye ; Sa/lomone — Aye ; approved unanimously. n /
