The Meeting of the Town Commissioners of the Town of Gulf Stream,
Florida was held at the Town Hall on Monday, January 14th,1952 at 11
( a.m.

The minutes of the last meeting of the Town Commissioners held on
December 10,1951 was read and upon motion duly made and seconded,
unanimously approved.
A letter was read from Mrs. Martha D. Whittaker objecting to ob-
structions on Pan "'s Road which restricted her use of this dedi-
cated road. It was upon motion duly made, seconded and unanimously
voted that the firm of George S. Brockway, Engineer and Surveyor,
be engaged to stake out right of ways on Pandanus Road from Gulf
Stream Road to TF�Xp" d and on Palm Way Road south from Pandanus
Road to Banyon Road. At a later date, concrete markers to be in-
stalled.
It was reported to the Meeting that 2,669,000 gallons of water had
been furnished the Town of,/Gulf Stream by the Gulf Stream Golf Club
during the month of December 1951 for which the Town paid the Gulf
Stream Golf Club $320.28. The resale of water to individuals amounted
to $626.80
The Bank Balance as of January 14th,1952 was reported as $7,757.48
Mayor L. Seton Lindsay reported that Town Clerk Wm.J.Bauer had been engage
at $100.00 per month and 425.00 transportation allowance. His hours
at the Town Hall to be from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Monday thru Fridays.
This action was unanimously approved.
A discussion was held in reference to paying County Constable and
Town of Gulf Stream Policeman, W. Bruce Wheeler, the sum of x$25.00
per month for which he would patrml the Town at various times and
be subject to call. "'he apnonitment was unanimously approved.

A discussion was held on the possibility of increasing the tax
millage for the year 1952 in order to meet increased operating
expenses. The Commissioners were unanimously in favor of such in-
crease in tax millage that might be necessary to balance the 1952
budget.
The Town Commissioners voted that it be their opinion and policy
not to grant permission to any solicitors or organizations to
canvas or advertize within the Town Limits.
Mayor Lindsay presented to the Town Commission a copy of the Town
of Palm Beach Zoning Ordinace No. 1 -47, together with a proposed
Zoning Map for consideration.
Attached list of accounts paid check #927 to #959 was approved
as presented..

Each member of the Town Commission stated they had carefully re-
viewed the Palm Beach Zoning Ordinance and had also examined the
proposed Zoning Map, as prepared by Mayor Lindsay.
After discussion it was regularly moved, seconded and carried that
Mr. Lindsay be authorized to take up with Town Attorney C.Y.Byrd;
the necessary legal procedure for preparing a complete new Zoning
Ordinance for the Town of Gulf Stream, together with Zoning Map.
A further discussion was had in regards to the Zoning Ordinance
and the Commissioners suggested several changes and eliminations
from the Palm Beach Ordinance, and these instructions were given
to Mayor Lindsay to take up with the Town Attorney for him to pre-
pare the necessary Ordinance and Notices for the proper adoption
of a new Zoning Ordinance. The new Zoning Map was approved with
the exception that the North one half of the H. Brokaw property be
listed as Apartment site and that the Property of the Gulf Stream
Golf Club on the East side of the Ocean Boulevard,AIA, be zoned
as apartment site.
Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted that no parking
be permitted on Ocean Boulevard or US Highway AlA.
--- ' It was brought to the attention of the meeting that there were no
�..� street markers on any streets within the Town. Upon motion duly
made and seconded, it was voted that Town Clerk Commissioner Wm.J.
Bauer be authorized to purchase posts, have painted and lettered
and set on intersections where needed.
Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was approved that Town Clerk
Commissioner Wm.J.Bauer, purchase an adding machine and typewriter
as per bid submitted.
Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was.voted that B.D. Cole
Insurance Company be contacted to place necessary fire insurance
on the Town Hall and such fire and theft insurance that would be
necessary to cover loss of equipment and records that might be
stored in the Town Hall.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
