A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING AND SETTING A TRANSACTION FEE FOR PAYMENT BY CREDIT
CARD OR ELECTRONIC MEANS OF DEVELOPMENT IMPACT FEES, ART IN
PUBLIC PLACES FEES, OR ANY OTHER DEVELOPMENT RELATED FEES
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood is a public body, corporate and politic,
established as a General law City and is governed by an elected body of five council
members; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood requires the payment of impact fees related to
the construction or the financing of public improvements within subdivisions or
Departments; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. 1603, the City of Lynwood requires the
establishment of an Art in Public Places Program or the payment of an in-lieu fee; and
WHEREAS, the City accepts credit card payments for utility bills; and
WHEREAS, credit card companies charge a convenience/processing fee to
utilize their service based on the fee total; and
WHEREAS, pricing updates for the Public Sector are issued on April 1 and
October 1 by the credit card company; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood ("Council") finds it in the
best interest and efficient operation of the City to allow the acceptance of payment by
credit card and to differ the cost of processing such payment through the collection of a
fee for such.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD HEREBY FINDS, ORDERS AND RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council approves and adopts the amendment to the
City of Lynwood's Master Fee Schedule to reflect the establishment of a credit card
convenience/processing fee for the payment of development related fees as follows:

Section 2. Price updates issued in April and October will be implemented
accordingly.
Section 3. That this Resolution becomes effective upon adoption.
