AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE FIXING THE ANNUAL COMPENSATION OF ALL ELECTED CITY OFFICERS FOR 1999
WHEREAS, Indiana Code 34-4-7-2 requires Common Council of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, to fix the annual compensation of all elected city officers by ordinance; and
WHEREAS, this ordinance has been published two times in the Palladium-Item
newspaper, Richmond, Indiana, with the first such publication taking place Monday, August 17th , 1998, and the second such publication taking place Thursday, September 3rd, 1998; and
WHEREAS, such first publication took place at least 30 days before final passage
hereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that the City’s elected officials be compensated in the following sums for the calendar year 1999,
to wit:
1999 Annual
Bi-Weekly Salary Salary
Mayor 2,150.08 55,902.15
Clerk 1,486.55 38,650.42
President of Common Council 199.49 5,186.67
Chairman of RP&L 199.49 5,186.67
Members of Common Council (8) 194.27 5,050.96
Members of RP&L Board (8) 194.27 5,050.96
ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION
In addition to the above salaries, the Mayor and Clerk, as full-time employees, shall also be entitled to those same fringe benefits as set forth within the City of Richmond Policy
Manual.
Passed and adopted this 21st day of September, 1998, by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
