PROFESSIONAL SERVICE CONTRACT

WIIEREAS, there exists a need for professional serxices to proxide Engineering
Sc~lccs ~cquncd Io~ prehmlnarv evaluation and coordination related to lhe Industrial
Road Project:
WHEREAS, pt 'su nt to N.J.S.A. 40A: 11 5(l)(a) professional services are exempt from
requirements of competitive bidding, and
WtIEREAS, the local finance officer has certified thut funds are available.
NOW TItEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and council of the Borough
of Cartcret docs hereby approve thc appointment of K[LLAM & SSOCIATES at a
maximum cost et'not to exceed ~15,0_ ()0.00 billable per attached conmtct.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Borough Clerk tire hereby
authorized to execute said contract.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVEI). fha! the conmtct is awarded without competitive bids
in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:I 1(1 )(a) due to thc specialized and professional nature
