COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA
ORDINANCE NO.44-2015
AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE
STAMM KOECHLEIN FAMILY FOUNDATION
WHEREAS, In accordance with Indiana Code (IC) 36-1-4-10, a municipality may execute any
documents necessary to receive money from the state or federal government or any
other source, and said documents are prepared and executed by the City executive
administration, provided that the Common Council of the City of Richmond as the
legislative body of the City approves an ordinance for the appropriation of any
monies received in accordance with IC 36-4-6-18; and
WHEREAS, The Stamm Koechlein Family Foundation has grant funding available through its
Family Foundation Grant program; and
WHEREAS, The City of Richmond Parks and Recreation Department desires to submit a grant
application to obtain funds that will be used for the Parks Department to sponsor the
2016 Summer Outdoor Movie Series; and
WHEREAS, No local match is required.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, as follows:
1. The City of Richmond in accordance with IC 36-1-4-10 has submitted or will submit a
grant application to the Stamm Koechlein Family Foundation.
2. The City of Richmond Parks & Recreation Department is authorized to accept said grant
funding in an amount up to Five Thousand Five Hundred Dollars and Zero Cents ($5,500.00).
3. Said funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond Parks & Recreation Department shall be
appropriated for the Parks Department to s onsor the 2016 Summer Outdoor Movie Series.
Passed and adopted this & day of 015, by the Common Council of the City
of Richmond, Indiana.
