AN ORDINANCE OFTHE CITY OF JEFFERSON,MISSOURI, ESTABLISHING PRIMARY
AND GENERAL ELECTION DATES IN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, FOR
2007.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Pursuant to Chapter 115 RSMo., 2005 Municipal Elections are hereby
established for the City of Jefferson, Missouri, as follows:
(a) A Primary Election shall be held Tuesday, February 6, 2007, If needed.
(b) A General Election shall be held Tuesday, April 3, 2007.
(c) The City Clerk shall notify the County Election Authorities of the candidates
• for office and election dates.
(d) The following officials shall be elected in accordance with the Charter and
Code of the City of Jefferson, Missouri
(1) The Mayor shall be elected, at-large, to a 4-year term
(2) Five City Council Members, one from each of the five Wards, shall be
elected to a 2-year term;
(3) One member from Ward two shall be elected to fill an unexpired 1-year
term;
(4) One member from Ward five shall be elected to fill an unexpired
1-year term;
(4)(5) Municipal Judge (2 year term)
(6)(6) City Prosecutor (2 year term)
Section 3. Declarations of Candidacy and Candidate Endorsement Forms must be
filed with the City Clerk between 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Octoberl 7, 2006, and 5:00 p.m. on
Tuesday, November 21, 2006.

Section 4, This ordinance shall be In full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval.
