HomeMy Public PortalAboutr 10-198 2f{ezollttion of t~e ~oro1tB~ of QInrteret) ~~ JJ~ No. 10-198 Date of Adoption AI18"sL5, 2010 AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE EAST CHERRY STREET REHABILITATION PROJECT WHEREAS, the Borough has publicly advertised for the receipt of bids for the East Cherry Street Rehabilitation Project; and WHEREAS, the Borough has solicited and received one (1) bid proposal for the East Cherry Street Rehabilitation Project as follows: 1. S. Brothers, Inc. Total Amount $ 183,117.92 WHEREAS, S. Brothers, Inc. has submitted the lowest bid and the only bid for said contract as evidenced by the response on file with the Borough's Purchasing Department and with the Borough Engineer; and WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has reviewed the above bid proposal and has recommended the award of a contract to S. Brothers, Inc. in a total amount not to exceed $183,117.92; and WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available for said purpose. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret as follows: 1. That the appropriate Borough Officials arc hereby authorized to enter into a contract with S, Brothers, Inc. South River, N.J. for the East Cherry Street Rehabilitation Project for the sum of$183,117.92 in accordance in all respects with the request for proposals and bid on same. 2. That a copy ofthis Resolution shall be forwarded to the Borough's Purchasing Department and Borough Engineer. 3. That the aforementioned award of bid is contingent upon formal approval from the New Jersey Department of Labor, Division of\Vage and Hour Compliance.
