Member Weir introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO.2011-02
RECOGNIZING DAN JOHNSON FOR FOUR YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CITY OF
MEDINA
WHEREAS, Dan Johnson has completed four years of dedicated service to the City of
Medina; and
WHEREAS, Johnson has served as a member of the City Council from 2007 through
present; and
WHEREAS, throughout Councilmember Johnson's service to the City of Medina several
significant projects have taken place including:
The Uptown Hamel Redevelopment District and infrastructure improvements;
The City's 2010-2030 Comprehensive Plan adoption;
The Hamel Legion Park Field House;
Creation of a Financial Management Plan and Road Improvement Funding
Policy;
Transfer of the German Liberal Cemetery to the City; and
WHEREAS, Councilmember Johnson provided leadership and guidance on analysis for
financing the City's long-term infrastructure needs, the preservation of the City's natural
resources and rural character, and the implementation of environmental sustainability into City
planning and operations, and
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Medina
acknowledges and thanks Councilmember Johnson for his years of service to the community.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Martinson upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Crosby, Martinson, Pederson, Weir
And the following voted against same: (Absent: Siitari)
None
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
