AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE PARTNERSHIP FOR A DRUG FREE WAYNE COUNTY
WHEREAS, the Partnership for a Drug Free Wayne County has grant funding available to assist in various drug related law enforcement activities; and
WHEREAS, the Richmond Police Department desires to submit a grant application in order to purchase air time for 3 cellular phones.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
1. The Richmond Police Department is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the Partnership for a Drug Free Wayne County for the purchase of airtime for 3 cellular phones.
2. The Richmond Police Department is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to One Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($1,500.00).
3. Said funds, if awarded to the Richmond Police Department, shall be appropriated for the purchase of airtime for 3 cellular phones.
Passed and adopted this 20th day of January, 1998, by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
