PI/()FESSIONAI~ SERVICES CONTRACT FOR ENGINEERING
SERVICES
WHEREAS, there exists a need for Professional Services to pro;,ide Additional
En,,inecring Scr~ccs I'OF Site Investigation Phase of Waterfront Project; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:U-5(1) (it) Pro£cssional Services are
exempt from the requirements of competitive bidding; and
WHEREAS, the Local Finance OFficer hits ceFtified that funds are avaihtble;
NOW, TItEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that MayoF and Council of the
Borough of Carterct does heFeby appFo,,e the appointment of Killam and
Assnciates at a maximum cost of nol to exceed $27,550.00 billable peF attached
contract:
BE IT EURTIIER RESOLVED that the Mayor and Borough Clerk arc
authorized to execute said contract.
IT IS EURTHER RESOLVED that the contract is awarded without competitive
bids in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:II 5ii)ia) due to the specialized and
professional nature of the seFvices provided.
IT IS FURTIIER RESOLVED that a notice nf this action shall be published in
the Home Nexis Tribune on September 26, 2000.
