JJ. 10-m Date of Adoptio" "" Ii?J 1st 1'4-2010 No. OPPOSING ASSE~mLY BILL A-2638 WHEREAS, Assembly Bill A-2638, released by tbe Assembly Housing and Local Government Committee, would amend P.L.1989, c.299, and requires municipalities to reimburse qualified private conununities for street paving costs; and \VHEREAS, as such, A-2638 would require municipalities to either pave, repave, improve, or reimprove roads and streets that have been accepted for dedication to public use or meet the municipal standards and specifications for dedication within a qualified private community or to provide reimbursement in lieu of providing the service. WHEREAS, the New Jersey League of Municipalities strongly opposes A-2638 as released and has requested that an of its members to go on record similarly opposing the same. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough ofCarteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows: 1. That the Borough of Carteret hereby opposes Assembly Bill A-2638 released by the Assembly Housing and Local Government Committee. 2. That a copy of tills Resolution be forwarded to the New Jersey League of Nlunicipalities. Adopted this 19th day of August, 2010 and certified as a true copy of the original on August 20, 2010.
