Commission f the Town of Gulf Stream,
Palm Beach �ounty, Florida on May 12,1952.
The regular meeting of the 'own Commission was held at the
Town Hall at 10.00 o'clock A.M.; Maw 12,1952 with Commissioners Bauer, Clarke & Lindsay present. Commissioners Royce and Iglehart
were absent, Town Attorney C.Y.Byrd was present.
The minutes of the meeting held on April 14th,1952 were read
and upon motion duly made and seconded, approved and ordered filed.
A letter of resignation from Commissioner Alexander B. Royce
dated May 6th,1952 was read and laid on the table.
Town Clerk Bauer presented list of bills paid by checks num-
bered #1015 to 411049 inclusive. Upon motion duly made and seconded,
they were approved.
The bank balance was then re prted as 04,732.85 with checks on
hand for deposit amounting to 235.60
It was reported to the meeting that 4,029 800 gallons of water
had been furnished to the Town by the Gulf Kream Golf Club for
which the Town was to pay to the Gulf Stream Golf Club $483.48.
The resale of water to individuals amounted to $;852.20
It was also reported to the meeting that during the month of
April (2) General Contractor Licenses had been issued totalling
$100.00 and (1) Building permit issued for $y50.00
Mayor Lindsay informed the Commissioners that Town Attorney
Byrd had advised him that due to the requirements of the Charter
Act of the Town, that all ordinances of the Town must be read and
passed on at least two separate Town Commission meetings, which
meetings must be at least thirty days apart.
In view of the fat that the new Zoning Ordinance of the Town
had been introduced and passed on its first reading at a regular
meeting of the Town Commission held on April 14,1952 and that
to -days regular meeting was being held on May 12,1952 -- the
thirty -day period between the meetings had not elapsed as provided
by the 'Town _Charter Act.
Commissionerje Clarke moved that the consideration of the new
Town Zoning Ordinance be postponed until later on in the week
and that when this meeting of the Town Commission adjourns that
it adjourn to meet/ in regular session at 10 o'clock A.M.
Saturday, May 17,1952, at which meeting the new Town Zoning
Ordinance would be taken up for its second reading, consideration
and final passage.
The motion was seconded by Commissioner Bauer and on roll call
Commissioners Clarke, Bauer and Lindsay voted in favor of the
!( motion. Commissioners voting against said motion: none.
The Commissioners then unanimoudly voted to recess until May 17th,
