HomeMy Public PortalAbout07-16-2015THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, JULY 16, 2015 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5:00 P.M., Thursday, July 16, 2015, in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Building, 50 North 5th Street, Richmond, Indiana. President Robinson called the meeting to order and the following business was conducted: ROLL CALL Board members present were: Vicki Robinson, Tony Foster and Dick Foore. Also in attendance were Kim Vessels, Assistant City Attorney; Monica Burns, Deputy City Clerk; Police Lt. Donnie Benedict; Human Resources Director Sue Roberson; Community Development Specialist Sharon Palmer; IT Director Jeff Norris; from Richmond Civic Theater Dave Cobine and Shannon Nevels; Carter Heaston; and, Media. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Mr. Foore moved to approve the minutes of July 9, 2015, supported by Mr. Foster. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Mr. Foster moved to accept a revised July 10, 2015 Claims for Payment in the amount of Two Hundred Eighteen Thousand One Hundred Seventy Seven Dollars and Forty Six cents ($218,177.46), supported by Mr. Foore. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carries. REQUESTS • STREET CLOSURES: Richmond Civic Theatre /Depot District - 75th Season Main Street — 6th — 10th and 10th Street Parking Lot August 15th 10:00 am — 2:00 pm Mr. Foore moved to approve, supported by Mr. Foster. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. Senior Opportunities Services - 35th Annual 4th Street Fair South 4th Street October 3rd — 4th, 10:00 am — 5:00 pm Mr. Foster moved to approve, supported by Mr. Foore. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. Jason Feaster - Bounce House for Daughter's Birthday Partial alley behind his residence at NW M and Ratliff Streets July 18th, 10:00 am — 7:00 pm Mr. Foore moved to approve, supported by Mr. Foster. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. BID OPENINGS - None BID AWARDS - None CONTRACTS • CONTRACT NO. 78-2015 — AMALGAMATED TRANSIT UNION, LOCAL NO. 1474 Union Contract for Rose View Transit Mr. Foore moved to approve, supported by Mr. Foster. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. • CONTRACT NO. 87-2015 — STAR DEVELOPMENT, INC. Grant agreement with the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority Not to exceed $90,000.00 plus lead testing - $1,000.00 per house Mr. Foster moved to approve supported by Mr. Foore. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. CHANGE ORDERS — None • CONTRACT NO. 21-2015 — ADDENDUM NO. 1 ITsavvy Additional and upgraded license for a server Not to exceed $10,879.48 Mr. Foster moved to approve supported by Mr. Foore. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. RESOLUTIONS • RESOLUTION NO. 15 -2015 — A RESOLUTION RECONFIRMING THE COMMITMENT TO WCTV IN CONNECTION WITH CABLE FRANCHISE AGREEMENT REVENUE FEES Mr. Foore moved to approve, supported by Mr. Foster. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. PETITIONS — None MISCELLANEOUS- None A recording of this meeting is on file in the Office of the City Clerk.
