HomeMy Public PortalAbout2011-015 Resolution Recognizing Jeanne Day for 5 Years of ServiceMember Martinson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO. 2011-15 RECOGNIZING JEANNE DAY FOR FIVE YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CITY OF MEDINA WHEREAS, Jeanne Day has been a valued full time City of Medina employee in the Finance Department of the City since March 8, 2006; and WHEREAS, Jeanne has served as the Finance Director at the City of Medina for 5 years; and WHEREAS, Jeanne has hired and developed her Accountant and Accounting Technician into a well -functioning and efficient Finance Department; and WHEREAS, Jeanne has created financial management policies/procedures and implemented modern technological tools to improve the City's financial stability, accountability, quality control, and customer service; and WHEREAS, Jeanne has implemented a financial management plan and enhanced the City's Capital Improvement Plan as effective strategies for long-term fiscal planning; and WHEREAS, Jeanne's leadership in annual budgetary management and audit preparation/completion has resulted in multiple years of general fund surpluses; and WHEREAS, Jeanne's strong financial management has led to an upgrade in the City's bond rating to a Moody's Aa2; and WHEREAS, the City of Medina expresses sincere gratitude for Jeanne's dedication and continued service to the Medina community. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Medina acknowledges and thanks Jeanne Day for five years of service to the community. Dated: March 15, 2011. ATTEST: Chad M.
