OPENING MATTERS:
Call to Order- Community Development Director Forbes
ORAL COMMUNICATIONS / PUBLIC COMMENT: NONE
PUBLIC HEARING ITEMS:
1. File: PL 17-769. A request for a major site plan review for the construction of a 11,656 -square -
foot auto body and repair shop. The site consists of two parcels which will be consolidated.
The property is located in the M-2 Zone.
Address: 9526, 9532 Gidley Street
Recommendation: That the Community Development Director adopt the attached
resolution finding that the project is exempt from CEQA and approve File
PL 17-769 subject to the proposed conditions of approval.

Planning Manager Reimers gave a brief summary of the staff report.
Community Development Director Forbes opened the public hearing.
Tony Mendoza, applicant, stated that he has reviewed and will abide by the conditions of approval.
Community Development Director Forbes read a statement from Rich Chen and Hong G. Pan,
property owners of 9525 and 9531 Gidley Street expressing opposition to the project. Mr. Forbes
stated for the record that he has considered the comments stated in the letter however, the proposed
use is allowable by right. He additionally stated that conditions 3 and 4 will be modified.

Community Development Director Forbes closed the public hearing, approved PL 17-769, found that
the project is categorically exempt and the adopted resolution.
