Site Council Meeting

The next meeting will be on Tuesday, February 25th. The Hosmer School Site Council, composed
of the principal, teachers, parents, and community members, is charged under DESE guidelines
to develop and monitor the annual School Improvement Plan. The School Site Council meets
monthly from October through June to oversee the school's goals and action strategies, examine
data that pertains to school improvement and create the school improvement plan for the
following year. The oversight process happens in the fall (October — January) and plan
development happens in the spring (February — June).
Agenda
• Review of Ideas for 2020-2021 SIP generated in our last meeting
( Potential Growth Areas/Goals for Strategic Objective 3: Foster caring and
collaborative relationships among and within schools, families, and community
members.)
• Special Guest, Christine Hill, Hosmer Literacy Coach Literacy in the
Elementary Schools - What's Happening and Where are We Going?
• Discussion of Potential Growth Areas/Goals for:
• Strategic Objective 1: Increase capacity in -building for educators to provide
rigorous, relevant, standards -based curriculum in core instructional practices.
• Strategic Objective 2: Establish practices and support teachers to provide a
uniform, consistent, and differentiated instructional model to promote an
inclusive learning environment.)
• Any other business that may legally come before the council
