RESOLUTION OF THE BOROUGH OF CARTERET, COUNTY OF MIDDLESEX,
NEW JERSEY, AUTHORIZING AN EXTENSION OF TIME FOR PAYMENT OF
MUNICIPAL TAXES WITHOUT INTEREST TO SEPTEMBER 30, 2010
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret was scheduled to mail out
municipal tax bills by June 30, 20101 to all property owners,
and
WHEREAS, the State of New Jersey's adoption of certain
programs resulted in a delay in the mailing of the tax bills,
and,
WHEREAS, the delay of the mailing of the municipal tax bills
will result in the imposition of interest payments if an
extension of time for the payment of the bills is not granted
to the taxpayers of the Borough of Carteret.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of
the Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, New Jersey, as
follows:
1. That the Mayor and Council hereby authorize the extension
of time for payment of the 3rd quarter 2010 municipal tax
bills to September 30, 2010.
2. In the event that the tax bills are not paid by a
taxpayer on September 301 20101 then interest shall be
retroactive to the August 1, 2010 due date.
3. That the Borough Clerk shall forward certified copies of
this resolution to the following:

Division of Local Government Services
Department of Community Affairs:
B. Tax Collector.
