HomeMy Public PortalAbout2011-017 Resolution Receiving Feasibility Rpt, Call for Public Hearing for Hunter Dr. NorthMember Siitari introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption. CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO.2011-17 RESOLUTION RECEIVING FEASIBILITY REPORT, CALLING FOR PUBLIC HEARING AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS ON HUNTER DRIVE NORTH IMPROVEMENT PROJECT WHEREAS, the Medina city council previously authorized preparation of a feasibility report on the improvement of Hunter Drive North from Hamel Road to Medina Road along with adjacent trail improvements and the construction of sanitary sewer, water main and storm sewer improvements on Hunter Drive North from Hamel Road to Elm Creek Drive; and WHEREAS, said report has been received by the council and provides information regarding whether the proposed project is necessary, cost-effective and feasible. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina, Minnesota as follows: 1. The council will consider making the above described improvement in accordance with the feasibility report and the assessment of benefited property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429 at an estimated total improvement project cost of $2,260,306. 2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on April 5, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in the council chambers at Medina city hall and the city administrator - clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvement as required by law. 3. Bonestroo is hereby designated as the city's consulting engineer for this improvement. The engineer shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of the improvement.
