HomeMy Public PortalAboutORD-CC-2022-15CITY OF MOAB I ANCE #2022-15 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING 1OAB MUNICIPAL CODE CHAPTER 330, MASTER FEE SCHEDULE FOR THE RECREATION AND AQUATIC CENTER TO INCLUDE A REDUCED FEE PROGRAM WHEREAS, The City Council held a duly advertised public hearing during a regularly scheduled meeting on August 23, 2022, to hear evidence and public comment, and to review the Master Fee Schedule. WHEREAS, The City Council passed a change to the Master Fee Schedule for the Moab Recreation and Aquatic Center on August 23 and wanted to include a reduced fee program is to minimize financial barriers for residents to access the Moab Aquatic and Recreation Center. Now therefore, be it ordained that the City Council of the City of Moab adopts the Recreation and Aquatic Center Reduced Fee Program as presented in Attachment A. PASSED AND APPROVED by a majority of the City t f: Moab City Council. This ordinance shall. take effect immediately upon passage. SIGNET; Mayor Date Moab City Council Agenda Item City of Moab Ordinance #2022-15 Attachment A Meeting Date: September 13, 2022 Reduced Fee Program The goal of the reduced fee program is to minimize financial barriers for residents to access the Moab Aquatic and Recreation Center. Fees Eligible participants can choose between half off Annual Memberships or a package of admissions at the following rate: Youth/Senior Adult 10 Admissions $10 $20 25 Admission $25 $50 Eligibility Participants must be able to show residency and need. Residency: to meet residency requirements you must be one of the following • Enrolled in a Grand County School • Resides in Grand County • Employed in Grand County Need: Can provide one of the following: • A Grand School District Free or Reduced lunch letter from the current school year. • Proof of current State or Federal Assistance, including but not limited to: o Medicaid (we do not accept copies of Medicaid cards as proof of coverage) o SNAP (Supplementary Nutrition Assistance Program) (EBT cards are not acceptable proof) o SSI (Supplementary Security Income) o SSDI (Social Security Disability Income) o WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) (WIC cards are not acceptable proof) o TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) o AND (Aid to the Needy Disabled) o OAP (Old Age Pension) o CCAP (Child Care Assistance Program) o Foster Care o Medicare Savings Program o Self -Sufficiency Program • Proof of income (income levels follow the National School and Breakfast and Lunch Program).
