RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT
ENGINEERING SERVICES WITH T &M ASSOCIATES -
EAST CHERRY SANITARY SEWER CLEAJ'flNG & TV INSPECTION
'YHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of specialized engineering services with regard
to the East Cherry Sanitary Sewer Cleaning & TV Inspection; and
'VHEREAS, the Borough's Consulting Engineers, T&M Associates, possess the requisite skill
and expertise to provide said services; and
\VHEREAS, T &M Associates has submitted a proposal to provide said engineering services at a
total cost not to exceed SI0,050.00; and
\VHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have reviewed said proposal; and
.WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available for said
purpose.
NO'Y, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL YED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of
Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. The proposal from T &M Associates for engineering services related to the
East Cherry Sanitary Sewer Cleaning & TV Inspection at a total cost not to
exceed SlO,050.00 at the rate set forth in T & M's existing contract with the
Borough is hereby approved.
2. Annexed hereto is a copy of said proposal.
3. This action is approved as an award of a professional services contract
pursuant to NJ.S.A. 40A:11-5(l)(a) in accordance with the Borough's Fair
and Open Process as authorized by law.

Re: East Cherry Sanitary Sewer Cleaning & TV Inspection
Dear Mr. DuPont:
As a follow up to our July 30, 2010 letter, we have received two quotes for the sanitary sewer
cleaning and TV work for the above referenced project. Based on the proposals submitted, it is
estimated that the work can be completed in 3 days. It is recommended the Borough authorize
T&M to retain Oswald Enterprises, Inc. (OEl) as a subcontractor to accomplish the cleaning and
TV inspection. Our fee for this work would be $10,050.
