RECOMMENDATION: The C ity Council is requested to receive and file the Transportation and Publ ic Safety Commiss ion (Commission ) actions from their regular meeting of January 24, 20 18 . BACKGROUND: On January 24 , 2018 the Commission held thei r regularly sch e du led meeting . ANALYSIS: The follow i ng is a summary of actions taken at the January 24 , 2018 meeting : 1. ROLL CALL Present: Commissioner -Kwan , Nimri, Palm ieri , Vice-Chairman Cl ift , Chairman Blatt Absent: Commissioner -None Exc used : Commissioner-None 2 . CONSENT CALENDAR The Commission app ro ved the minutes of the January 10 , 2018 meeting . City Council February 20 , 2018 Page 2 of 2 3. PRESENTATIONS Transtech Engineers made a presentation on Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety . 4 . NEW BUISINESS The Youth Committee presented survey data gathered from community members on pedestrian safety concerns surrounding Temple City Boulevard and Lemon Avenue and petitioned the Transportation and Public Safety Commission to allow them to collaborate with the City's Traffic Engineers to enhance pedestrian safety measures at this location . CITY STRATEGIC GOALS: Reporting the Transportation and Public Safety Commission Actions furthers the City's Strategic Goal of Citizen Education and Communication. FISCAL IMPACT: This item does not have an impact on the Fiscal Year 2017-18 City Budget. ATTACHMENT: None
