HomeMy Public PortalAbout2011-030 Resolution Adopting Comp Plan Amend Regarding The EnclaveMember Weir introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO.2011-30 RESOLUTION ADOPTING A COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT REGARDING THE FUTURE LAND USE OF A PORTION OF THE PROPERTY OF "THE ENCLAVE" RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT WHEREAS, the City of Medina (the "City") has adopted a comprehensive plan pursuant to Minn. Stat. 462.355, 473.175 and 473.851 to 473.871 to regulate development and land use within the community (the "Plan"); and WHEREAS, on March 15, 2011, the City adopted Resolution 2011-14, which conditionally approved an amendment to the Plan to change the future land use of a portion of certain property within the City which is legally described in Exhibit A, attached hereto (the "Property"); and WHEREAS, the amendment changed approximately three acres of the Property from Rural Residential to Low Density Residential and to change an equal amount of net acreage of the Property from Low Density Residential to Rural Residential, as identified on Exhibit B, attached hereto, and; WHEREAS, Resolution 2011-14 stated that the amendment to the Plan shall not become effective until approved by the Metropolitan Council and formally adopted by the City Council; and WHEREAS, Resolution 2011-14 also stated that the amendment was contingent upon approval of the preliminary plat of "The Enclave"; and WHEREAS, on April 5, 2011, the City Council approved the preliminary plat of "The Enclave;" and WHEREAS, on April 12, 2011, the amendment to the Plan was approved by the Metropolitan Council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the city council of the City of Medina, Minnesota, that the Comprehensive Plan amendment approved by Resolution 2011-14 is hereby adopted and in effect.
