RESOLUTION N0. 2307
ftESOLUTION REGARDING COURT REORGANIZATION
WHEREAS, on March �, 1951 the Board of Supervisora
of the County of Los Angeles will vote to recommend to the
� Legislature the boundary and number of Judgea to aerve the
Compton-Lynwood and ad�acent unincorporated area, and
WHEREA3, the recommendation of the County Adminiatra-
tive office as presented to the Board of Supervisors on Febru-
ary 20th calls for only two Judgea to eerve the entire area
conaisting of a present population of over 160,000 people.
WHEREAB, the volume of bueineea handled by the
three ,judgea in the Compton Municipal court, the South Loa
Angelea Juetice court and the Lynwood City court and the
time neceseary to properly hear and determine the caaea is
in exceea of the State average load per Judge.
�+1HEREAB, thia area ie one of the faetest growing
in the State, having increased in population over 100� in
the last ten yeare, now
THEREFORE, BE IT RE90LVED, that the City Council
- of the City of Lynwood hereby request the Board of Supervisors
, to recommend to the Legislature the retention of the three
�udicial positiona serving area in order to aesure
proper administration of �uetice.
