A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING STAFF TO ISSUE A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR THE
FOLLOWING: WATER SYSTEM LEAKAGE STUDY, FIRE HYDRANT AND WATER
SYSTEM VALVE GPS MAPPING AND TESTING SERVICES AND WATER ATLAS
GIS MAP UPDATING, AND WATER METER TESTING SERVICES
WHEREAS, to improve and maintain the water system electronic data updated
and current, and assist the City in comptying with the new State Mandated Urban Water
Management Plan, the City Council finds that a water system leakage study, fire
hydrant and water valve GPS mapping and testing services, water atlas GIS map
updating water meter testing services are needed; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in the Enterprise Fund for these services.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood approves the issuance
of a Request for Proposals for consulting services for the following services:
• Water system leakage study.
• Water system fire hydrant and the water system gate valve GPS mapping and
testing services.
• Update of the GIS water system atlas maps.
� Water meter testing.
Section 2. This Resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 1 day of March, 2011.
