Council met in regular session, Mayor Vahlsing presiding
and councilmen Herman B Hook- J0kakxVxXxTxxmxx'x ftxxxRa1taax
J T Riekena and Jerry Spieker present.
The regular business was suspended and the above named
councilmen drove to Grundy Center to meet with the County Board of
Supervisors to consider property valuations for assessment of Town
property's.
A motion was made to adjourn the regular meeting to May 4th.

Minutes of the last meetings were read and on motion by
Hook second by Riekena approved as read.
At -the meeting were present two representitives for different
types of Tar tanks for the repairing of patch work on Oiled street$
No action was taken.
Councilman Hook introduced Ordinance No. 107 being an
Ordinance Vacating the alley in block 3 of the Original Plat of
the Town ,-and moved its adoption, Seconded by councilman Huisman.
Motion was made by councilman Huisman that the rules, requiring
Ordinances to be read on three different days , be suspended, and that
Ordinance No. 107 be read twice by the clerk by its Title only and the
reading just had be considered the third reading and sabd Ordinance be
placed upon its passage and adoption.
Motion seconded by councilman Riekena.
The Mayor put the motion, and the roll call was as follows;
Ayes- Hook- Huisman- Kuper- Riekena- Spieker
Nays none
Mayor declared motion carried, rules suspended, Ordinance No 107
placed on dinal passage upon further reading by title only by the C1.erk.
( Clerk read Ordinance twice by title only)
Motion by councilman Rieken that Ordinance No 107 be and the same
is hereby passed. and adoppted by this council and. that the C1_erk be and
he is hereby instructed to publish same in accordance with the law.
Motion seconded by councilman Kuper.
Mayor put the motion, and the roll all resulted as follows;
Ayes- Hook- Huisman- Kuper Riekena Spieker.
Nays - none
Mayor declared Ordinance No 107 duly adopted and signed same in
the presence of the council.
Councilman Riekena introduced an Ordinance being -ntitled Ordinance
No 108, being an/ Ordinance vacating the alley , same being the
west half of Lot 15 in block 9 of the original Plat of the Town of
Wellsburg, Iowa. and moved its adoption, Seconded by Kuper.
Motion was made by councilman Kuper that the rules requiring
Ordinances be read on three different days besuspended, and that
ordinance No 108 be read twice by the Clerk by title only, and that the
reading just had be considered the third reading and said Ordinance be
placed >'upon its final passage and adoption.
Motion seconded bycol,ncilman Huisman.
Mayor put the motionm and the roll call was as follows;
Ayes- Hook- Huisman- Kuper- Riekena- Spieker.
Nays none.
Mayod declared motion carried, rules suspendedn and. that Ordinance
No 108 placed. on final pas•�age upon further reading by title only
by the Clerk.

Motion by councilman Kuper that Ordinance No 108 be and the same
is hereby passed. and. adonted byy this council and that the Clerk be and
he is hereby instructed to nublish same according to law.

The Treasil-ers report was receiver, read and on motion placed
on file -
The Mayors, Clerks, and Marshall's Ponds were presented and it was
moved by Hook second by Spieker that the Bonds be approved
Motion carried.
It was moved by Hook second by Riekena that the insic_e of the
Waterworks building be painted. motio carried.

RESOLUTION.
Whereas, the Town council of the
Incorporated Town of Wellsburg
has heretofore vacated the alley ly-
ing between Lots (1) and (12) ,
and between Lots (2) and (11), and
between Lots (3) and (10) , and
between jj,ots (4) and (9) , and be-
tween Lots (3) and (8) , and be-
tween Lots (6) and (7) of Block
(3) of the original Plat of the Town
of Wellsburg, Iowa, and —
Whereas, it now appears that
said ground so vacated will no
longer be used or needed by the
Town of Wellsburg, Iowa.
THEREFOR, Georfe Blythe and
Harm Okones, Geo. Neessen Est.
and Mrs. Johanna VanLoh having,
offered to purchase the ground so
vacated and pay therefor the sum !
of $1.00; for each parcel adjoining I
their respective lots.
BE IT RESOLVED that the Town i
of Wellsburg, Iowa sell the ground I
so vacated to the said above named
parties, for the sum of $1.00 and
that the Mayor and Clerk of the
Town of Wellsburg, Iowa; be, and i
they are hereby, authorized to
execute and deliver to said pur-
chasers a good and sufficient deed
of said ground so vacated and so
sold to said above named parties,
and deliver such deed to each of the
purchasers, upon receipt of the
Purchase price therefor.
Passed and approved this 7th day

RESOLUTION.

Block Nine (9) being described as
follows (The West half of Lot 15
in Block Nine) of the Original Plat
of the Town of Wellsburg, Iowa,
and
Whereas, it now appears that
said ground so vacated will no
longer be used or needed by the
Town of Wellsburg, Iowa.
THEREFOR, Closka Neessen hav-
ing offered to purchase the ground
so vacated and pay therefor the
sum of $1.00.
BE IT RESOLVED that the Town
of Wellsburg, Iowa sell the ground
so vacated to the said Closka Nees-
sen, for the sum of $1.00 and that
the Mayor and Clerk of the Town
of Wellsburg, Iowa; be, and they
are hereby authorized to execute
and deliver to said purchaser a good
and sufficient Deed of said ground
so sold to said Closka Neessen and
deliver such deed to said purchaser
upon receipt of the purchase price
therefor.
