A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE RELEASE OF REQUESTS FOR PROPOSALS FOR THE
DESIGN OF CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS TO THE CITY'S WATER AND SEWER
SYSTEMS LOCATED ON LONG BEACH BOULEVARD, ATLANTIC AVENUE,
SANTA FE AVENUE, DRURY LANE, NORTON AVENUE, AND CALIFORNIA
AVENUE
WHEREAS, staff has identified a number of improvements to the water and
sewer systems that need to be addressed now in order to ensure efficient and reliable
services to Lynwood residents; and
WHEREAS, said improvements include the construction new water services on
Long Beach Boulevard and Atlantic Avenue; and the construction of new sewer main
sections on Santa Fe Avenue, Drury Lane, Norton Avenue and California Avenue; and
WHEREAS, these improvements need to be designed and project contract
documents need to be prepared.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood approves the issuance
of a Request for Proposals for consulting services to prepare the design and contract
documents for said water and sewer improvements.
Section 2. This Resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 1 day of March, 2011.
