A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD ACCEPTINC�
THE IMPERIAL HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, PROJECT NO. 4011.67.871�,
FEDERAL PROJECT NO. 07-LA-0-LYN-ESPL 5250 (016), AS BEING COMPLETE;
AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY ENGINEER TO PROCESS THE RECORDATION OF
THE NOTICE OF COMPLETION
WHEREAS, on January 5, 2010, the City Council awarded construction contract
of the Imperial Highway Improvement Project (from Atlantic Avenue to East City Limits),
Project No. 4011.67.871, Federal Project No. 07-LA-0-LYN-ESPL 5250 (016), to
International Paving Services; Inc. in the amount of $478,164; and
WHEREAS, the project started on April 19, 2010 and was completed on
December 8, 2010; and
WHEREAS, the project is funded through the federal American Recovery and
Reinvestment Act (ARRA) and Prop C funds; and
WHEREAS, the final construction cost is $594,851.56; and
WHEREAS, Public Works staff conducted the final inspection on December 13,
2010, and found that all work is complete in accordance with the project plans and
specifications.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood accepts the Imperial
Highway Improvement Project (from Atlantic Avenue to East City Limits), Project No.
4011.67.871, Federal Project No. 07-LA-0-LYN-ESPL 5250 (016), as complete in
accordance with contract documents; and authorizes the City Engineer to process the
recordation of the Notice of Completion.
Section 2. This Resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 1 day of March, 2011.
