A RESOLUTION REQUESTING STATE ACQUISITION AID FOR
BULLIS ROAD CIVIC CENTER SITE.
WFiEREAB, the 8tate of California under Chapter �7,
8tatutea of 19�� ��th E�ctra 3easion) hae appropriated funde for
allotment to provide financial aseiatance to Local Agenciea de-
fined therein as countiee, cities or cities and counties for the
purpoae of defraying not to exceed one-half the cost of acquir-
ing righte-of-way or eitea for public worke pro�ecta determined
to be desirable in poatwar public worka programs of euch Local
Agencies, and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood, hereinafter deeignated ae i
"Local Agency", desires to submit its request for State aid in
the acquiaition of a right-of-way or aite under said Act; and .
WHF.REAB, a request to the Poatwar Public Works Review
Boa.rd for auch aid has been prepared and preaented to thie Legie-
lative Body for consideration; and
t4FiEREAS, Local Agency has made provisione for paying,
one-half or more of the cost of auch acquisition;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RE80LVED, that Local Agency submit
the aforesaid request for acquisition aid to the Poetwar Public
Worka Review Board for the State's share of the coet of such
acquiaition; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Local Agency hereby certi-
fied that the total estimated cost to be paid for the acquisition
of the right-oP-way or aite for whieh it ie requesting aid under
said Act is Thirty-one Thousand Three Hundred 8eventy-eight and
40/l00 Dollars (�31,378.40); and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that for the purpose o£ thia
request, A. J, Bateman, City Manager, City Hall, Lynwood, California,
be and he hereby is designated aa the authorized agent of Local
Agency and ia hereby authorized.and directed to sign the herein
mentioned request on behalf of Local Agency and to submit the
same to the Poatwar Public Worka Review Board together with
certified atatement of the total coet to be paid for the acquis-
ition of the herein mentioned right-of-way or site and such
other information as may be required; and said authorized agent
is further authorized and. directed as the representative of
Local Agency to conduct all negotiationa and conclude all arrange-
ments, including aubmiasion t the Director of Finance of appli-
catione for payment, which may be necesaary secure payment of
the 8tate's ehare of the cost of the acquieition of the afore-
mentioned right-of-way or eite.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 20th day of March, 1951.
