HomeMy Public PortalAbout2011-033 Resolution Approving Plans & Specs & Ordering Hunter Dr. South Mill & Overlay ProjectMember Weir introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO.2011-33 RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING HUNTER DRIVE (SOUTH) MILL AND OVERLAY PROJECT WHEREAS, pursuant to previous actions by the city council, city staff has prepared plans and specifications for the mill and overlay improvements for Hunter Drive (South) and has presented such plans and specifications to the council for approval. WHEREAS, a resolution of the city council adopted on March 15, 2011, fixed a date for the council hearing on the proposed mill and overlay of Hunter Drive (South); and WHEREAS, ten days' mailed notice and two weeks' published notice of the hearing was given and the hearing was held on May 3, 2011, at which hearing all persons desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to have heard thereon. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the city of Medina, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The city council finds that the improvement has no relationship to the city's comprehensive plan. 2. The plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby adopted. 3. The above -described improvement is necessary, cost effective and feasible as detailed in the feasibility report. 4. The city council declares its intent to reimburse itself for project costs with the proceeds of tax exempt bonds. 5. The improvement is hereby ordered as proposed. Dated: May 3, 2011. T. M.
