APPROVlNG PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT-
KEVIN i\IORSE, SLAVIN & i\lORSE, LLC
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of ptofessiooal legal services with regard to
disciplinaty hearing related roattetS; and
WHEREAS, Kevin 1\101se of the hw fitm of Shvin & MOIse, LLC, possesses the requisite
e:xpedence and expertise to pIOvide said specialized legal services; and
\VHEREAS, Kevin 1,>,1015e, has submitted a proposal to pwvide said services at a maximum cost
not to exceed $1,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be a.vaihble for said
purpose.
NO\,\', THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of
Carteret that Kevin MOIse of the law firm of Slavin & Morse, lie be appointed as special counsel
to address disciplinary hearing related matters at a maximum cost not to exceed $1,000.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this action is approved as an award of a professional
services contract pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-S(1)(a) in accordance with the Borough's Fair and
Open Process as authorized by law.
