Stream, Florida, held at the Town Hall on Saturday, February 13th,
1954 at 10 a,m.
Present: Mayor Commissioner L. Seton Lindsay

Commissioner Harold J. Roig
Mayor Lindsay presided and Town Clerk Bauer acted as Secretary.
Minutes of Meeting held on January 9th, 1954 and Special Meeting
held on February 6th,1954 were read, and on motiAn duly adopted,
approved.
The Commissioners unanimously approved payments of all accounts
paid by checks numbered #1487 to #1515 inclusive.
A letter from Mr. Cecil P. Young dated January 19th was read.
Mr. Young suggested that adequate police protection be provided
both night and day and that the people of Gulf Stream be taxed for
the cost thereof, Mayor Lindsay reported that prior to receipt of
the letter he had engaged Constable - Policeman W. Bruce Wheeler to
atrol eight hours per night starting January 20th at a salary of
250.00 per month, subject to further orders of the Commission.
The Commissioners unanimously approved the action taken by Mayor
Lindsay.
It was reported to this meeting that two additional bank accounts
had been opened at the First National Bank in Delray Beach, Florida
as recommended by Himes and Himes' Certified Public Accountants for
the Town. The accounts opened were as follows:
Town of Gulf Stream, Water Department t31133.69
Town of Gulf Stream, Depreciation Reserve 2,572.36
Patrolman's Daily reports were furnished for perusal by Police-
man W. Bruce Wheeler for the period January 20th to 31st,1954
inclusive.
A letter was read from Mr. Henry B. Smith,Jr., dated January 27th
1954, relative to the future of the polo fields.
Town Clerk Bauer was instructed to contact Commissioner B.F.
&xxdzy Sundy and the State Road Department in regards to resur-
facing a portion of AlA near Mr. Thomas Mc Kays residence.

R request in person was made by Mr. Ken Jacobsen, architect to
increase the size of the present kitchen at the residence of Mr.
R. H. Grant on his North Line. The Commissioners felt that special
exception might be granted provided permission was granted by the
property owner bordering on the North line of Mr. Grants property.
Minutes of Meeting of the Town Commission of the Town of
Gulf Stream, Florida held an Saturday, March 13,1954 at 10
a.m. at the Town Hall.
Present: Town Clerk Commissioner Wm.J. Bauer
Due to lack of quorum this meeting was adjourned until
March 16,1954.
